Golf Trolleys

There are three types of golf trolleys available on the market: the electric golf trolley, the remote controlled golf trolley and the push golf trolley. Of all of the golf trolleys that are available, the remote controlled electric trolley is the least physically demanding to use. With an electric golf trolley, you need to guide the caddy with your hand as you walk along. With remote controlled golf trolleys, all you need to do is point and click to move your clubs to the next hole.

Remote control golf trolleys are designed to be able to drive hands free around the golf course. This is achieved by using two separate motors, which work independently of each other by the use of controllers and are controlled by a radio hand set about the size of the average mobile phone. The remote golf trolleys have a forth wheel at the rear, this keeps the golf trolley stable on uneven ground or when accelerating uphill in a forward direction. The remote control can adjust the direction of travel by limiting the power to one wheel at a time, causing the golf trolley to turn. The remote control can stop the trolley and in most cases reverse the trolley backwards.

The ability to drive a remote electric golf trolley does take practice and can sometimes get in the way of your mental concentration on the golf course if the art of moving it around is not perfected. It is, therefore recommended that at least 10 rounds of golf are played with a newly acquired remote golf trolley before entering any competitions, as it can be very distracting and thus affect your concentration and confidence on the course.

Push golf trolleys are also very helpful when you do not want to carry the weight of your clubs on your back. These golf trolleys come with all terrain wheels, so that you will not have to worry about getting stuck when the weather turns wet and muddy. The push golf trolleys cost less, but you do need to be willing to exert a little more effort on the golf course. Since you are already getting plenty of exercise by walking through the eighteen holes, you may want to weigh your options carefully before you decide.

The main benefit of golf trolleys is that you will not have to bend to pick-up a bag of golf clubs, and you will not have to carry all of that weight on your back thereby reducing your risk of lower back injuries.
